How Our Daily Calorie Tracker Works
Our free tracker is designed to be as simple and frictionless as possible. Here's how to use it:
Start by entering your daily calorie goal. If you've already used our Calorie Deficit Calculator, plug in the target it gave you. If not, a general starting point is 1,500 to 2,000 calories per day for most adults, depending on size and activity level.
Next, log each meal as you eat it. Enter the food name, the number of calories, and the meal type — Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, or Snack. The tracker instantly updates your totals, showing you how many calories you've consumed, how many you have left for the day, and your progress toward your goal as a percentage.
The progress bar turns red if you go over your goal, giving you an immediate visual cue to pull back. At the end of the day, hit the Download button to save a clean PDF summary of everything you ate — perfect for reviewing your habits over time or sharing with a nutritionist.

A calorie tracker is only as good as the habit behind it. The tool does the math — your job is simply to log honestly and consistently. Over time, you'll find that tracking becomes second nature, your awareness of food improves, and hitting your daily goal stops feeling like a challenge.
